23 Weeks Pregnant (Day 155 to Day 161)

What happens to you?

Since you have passed the halfway point of your pregnancy, you may start thinking about how you would like to bring your child into the world.

You may also experience mood swings. Don't worry, this is absolutely normal during pregnancy.

Hormonal changes during pregnancy may lead to swollen and irritated gums, which may bleed while brushing them.

Since your baby is growing, you may be facing increased appetite. Keep working out and watch your diet.

You are able to feel when your baby is awake and asleep, according to its movements.

Advice: Do not hesitate to talk to your baby so it can recognize your voice after birth.

 

What happens to your baby?

The bones in your baby's ears start to harden, which means that it can now hear you. It is more active and kicks harder.

Your baby is growing real hair and toe nails, while the cerebral cortex gyri are developing rapidly.

If you are expecting a boy, his testicles have started descending from his belly into the scrotum.

The baby can now urinate and drink the amniotic fluid which replaces itself every 3 hours. It also begins to sleep and to wake up.
